My Review:
What to say about this book?  With characters like Cat and Bones who wouldn’t want to read it!?!  This book takes place four years after the first book in the series ends.  Cat and her mother have started a new life in a new town and Cat has a new job.  Cat hasn’t forgotten about Bones, her vampire lover/trainer, but is satisfied with leaving him behind because she did so to protect his life.  Cat now has a job with a secret government agency killing vampires that kill humans.  She is excelling at her job, has a team of men that trust her and would follow her into any situation, has a new human boyfriend (whom she keeps just to try and find any kind of happiness without Bones), her Mother is safe, she has made a new best friend, and Bones is safe back where she left him four years ago.  Cat knows there is a master vampire seeking her out and wants to kill him before he kills her.  It is at her best friend’s wedding that Cat’s life turns upside down.  Cat’s best friend’s husband picks a wonderful friend of his for his best man; Bones!  Cat now has to fight feelings she has since tried to forget about Bones and the love they shared.  How is she supposed to fight vampires and keep her job with Bones back in the picture?  And what will her Mother say?  Or her boss?

This second book in the Night Huntress Series was just as good or better than the first.  The author wrote the book in such a way that you could have read it without having read the first one and would have understood what was going on just fine.  No doubt it is better having read the first one too though.  The characters are building more in this book and you learn more about Cat’s father and what happened between him and her Mother.  Nothing prepared me for the secret that Cat’s boss Don has kept though!  It was amazing!  This book was full of twists and turns and wonderful surprises.  A lot of interesting, wonderful, weird, scary, and crazy things happen in this book that is for sure.  What are they?  Well, I don’t want to spoil the read, so I won’t go into details about any of them.  All I can say is, you must read this book.  This book not only has a wonderful plot, with side plots, but is just a well written book.  Much credit to the author for such wonderful work.  The romance in this book is HOT, let me tell you and oh so perfect for reading in February, the month of love.  This book also had adventure, humor, and thrills.
